Last updated: 24 August 2026 · Effective: 24 August 2026
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Skylatek One. These terms govern your access to and use of our services. By using Skylatek One, you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a Skylatek One account or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Skylatek One Ltd.
2. Description of services
Skylatek One provides a suite of privacy-focused productivity tools including encrypted email (Skylatek Mail), encrypted calendar (Skylatek Calendar), and password management (Skylatek Passwords). Services are provided on a subscription basis with a free tier available.
3. Account registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose, to transmit spam or malware, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, to resell or redistribute our services without authorisation, or to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
5. Subscription and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
6. Data and encryption
You retain ownership of all content you store in our services. Our zero-knowledge architecture means we cannot access your encrypted content. You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your encryption keys. Loss of your master password may result in permanent loss of access to your data.
7. Service availability
We aim to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible. Our liability for service interruptions is limited as set out in Section 9.
8. Intellectual property
Skylatek One and its licensors own all intellectual property rights in our services, software, and content. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our services for personal or business purposes in accordance with these terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skylatek One's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in another jurisdiction, you may also have rights under the laws of that jurisdiction.
